The Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (Equipo Argentino de Antropología Forense, EAAF) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, scientific organization that applies forensic anthropology and archaeology to the investigation of human rights violations in Argentina and worldwide. EAAF was established in 1984 to investigate the cases of at least 9,000 disappeared people in Argentina under the military government that ruled from 1976-1983. Today, the team works in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
Their award-winning work is respected throughout the world for in-depth investigations in the field and in the lab, documentation and identification, as well as training and advising local specialists. I have done layout on several EAAF reports over the years, and am in awe of this organization and the important work they do.
I designed and laid out "Nuevas Tecnologías en Búsqueda Forense: Recursos para la crisis de desapariciones en México", a 300+ page report and then created the above video and social media posts for the virtual presentation on Facebook Live of the book's release. It was a tremendous honor to work on this incredibly important project with the amazing EAAF team!
Below are a few pages from other reports I worked on for EAAF over the years.
